The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ultan Prunty took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baird McWill, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bel McTom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Blanaid McPeter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Harley McGlenn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. The supporters of Lurgan FC booed when Clontoe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bradley Brennan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ultan Prunty showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baird McWill, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Payton Barrett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Ultan Prunty tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Payton Barrett recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ultan Prunty didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Payton Barrett went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Kevin Martyn hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Blanaid McPeter made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Harley McGlenn sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Clontoe getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Bradley Brennan hit a great ball. Blanaid McPeter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bel McTom in the 47th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Payton Barrett received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ultan Prunty came out and tried to block the shot, but Payton Barrett slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 54th minute. Baird McWill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ultan Prunty having to interfere. Lurgan FC's Ultan Prunty played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baird McWill in the 60th minute of play. After 62 minutes Lurgan FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Kevin Martyn who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Kevin Martyn almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Lurgan FC's Ultan Prunty did a great save. Baird McWill recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 65th minute, Payton Barrett made a precise shot to the right of Ultan Prunty. Lurgan FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Blanaid McPeter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bel McTom in the 72nd minute of play. Baird McWill received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Ultan Prunty tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Payton Barrett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ultan Prunty having to interfere. In the 86th match minute, Clontoe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Irwin McFrancise to maneuver through the defense. Ultan Prunty was out of position in the 90 minute of play, and Baird McWill capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Baird McWill really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. Blanaid McPeter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harley McGlenn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bel McTom in the 95th minute of play forced Clontoe's goalkeeper Blanaid McPeter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
