Bercnan McBrand fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roy McPeter having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bercnan McBrand stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Cloonakilleg's goalkeeper Roy McPeter had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bercnan McBrand. When Barde McLiam fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cloonakilleg's protests and gave Barde McLiam a yellow card for diving instead. Belra's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 77th minute, Kevinn McAaron hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 87th minute of the match, Derry Sheridan tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Roy McPeter saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Aron Walker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Bairee Dimson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, Belra's goal looked a bit too open when Baine McTommy came free, but Bairee Dimson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Belra's Derry Sheridan couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 94th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Cloonakilleg. A collision led to Cloonakilleg getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Baine McTommy hit a great ball.
