Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Beatty McFrank got the match started through his kick off. If Quinn McBrandon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kain McLian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Beatty McFrank, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Fahamore booed when Bunlahy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fergal McNamara didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Fahamore's zone, Brogan Sheridan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kain McLian came out of the goal and Brogan Sheridan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 20 minutes of play, Fahamore's Piers McGlynn made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Antaine Byrne was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Bunlahy booed when Fahamore was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donald McLian didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 30 played minutes Bunlahy got a freekick which was hit by Beltany Harkin. Bunlahy's Antaine Byrne played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrick McDecland in the 31st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fergal McNamara during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 32 played minutes Bunlahy got a freekick which was hit by Fergal McNamara. After a rather tough play, Bunlahy's Beatty McFrank got a free kick in the 34th minute. Caimin Myler kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. The supporters of Fahamore booed when Bunlahy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Duff Willson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Donald McLian took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 47th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Antaine Byrne. Bunlahy's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The Bunlahy players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Fahamore were winning 0-1.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Quinn McBrandon to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes, Brogan Sheridan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bunlahy and the Fahamore players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 52 played minutes Bunlahy got a freekick which was hit by Brogan Sheridan. 59 minutes into the match, Bunlahy's goalkeeper Antaine Byrne had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Quinn McBrandon. With a little luck, Bunlahy's Antaine Byrne got control of the ball when Quinn McBrandon tried to sneak it across the goal line. Quinn McBrandon might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Antaine Byrne. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Quinn McBrandon ran back to his position shaking his head. 68 minutes into the game, Fahamore's Quinn McBrandon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Antaine Byrne made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Quinn McBrandon got free with Antaine Byrne in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Quinn McBrandon came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Fahamore fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Quinn McBrandon couldn't finish the play. Antaine Byrne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Quinn McBrandon, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. After a rather tough play, Bunlahy's Brogan Sheridan got a free kick in the 81st minute. Antaine Byrne didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Quinn McBrandon went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. In the 88th minute, Beltany Harkin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Tomás Brennan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Fahamore had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
