Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Bow McPeter got the match started through his kick off. In the 10th minute, Ballintemple's Bow McPeter ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Teigue Crowe. Teigue Crowe yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Bow McPeter managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ballintemple's supporters rose to their feet, but Bow McPeter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teigue Crowe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Geevagh's Teigue Crowe got control of the ball when Bow McPeter tried to sneak it across the goal line. With his leg Teigue Crowe managed to avoid a goal in the 21stth minute, when Ballintemple's Bow McPeter fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ballintemple's Tate McLiam played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barock McGlynn in the 23rd minute of play. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Geevagh's goalkeeper Teigue Crowe, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Ballintemple's Bow McPeter slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Teigue Crowe. That made the score 2-0 after 26 minutes of play. Brandon Deery fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teigue Crowe having to interfere. Ballintemple's Brandon Deery got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 37 played minutes Geevagh got a freekick which was hit by Bresal Johnson. Cian Brennan made in the 40th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Babe Duggan. In the 47th minute Barock McGlynn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tate McLiam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Babe Duggan made the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Ballintemple got a freekick which was hit by Donn Harkin. 56 minutes into the match, Ballintemple's goal looked a bit too open when Babe Duggan came free, but Tate McLiam reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 58 minutes in the game Cian Brennan did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Ciarán McTom. Cian Brennan hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Donn Harkin hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. After 66 minutes of play, Geevagh's Babe Duggan made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tate McLiam was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Ballintemple's Pierce Ryan got a free kick in the 68th minute. Babe Duggan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tate McLiam having to interfere. 72 minutes into the match, Ballintemple's goalkeeper Tate McLiam had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Babe Duggan. Bow McPeter struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Teigue Crowe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ballintemple. Bercan McCollion hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Geevagh's Babe Duggan got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Barock McGlynn made in the 85th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Ballintemple's Bercan McCollion.
