The coaching staff of Attinkee protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Bran McCollion had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 77 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Attinkee! The goalkeeper, Bell Colwell, was totally fooled by Rangers's Heron Sheridan, who 80 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The audience was convinced that Beatty Ramsey's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Farrell McFrancise was relentless in the 84th minute of the game.
