Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Donn McSteven got the match started through his kick off. 5 minutes into the game, one of Caheradrine:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The supporters of St. James Gate F.C. booed when Caheradrine was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bowie Benson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pearse McWilliam took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Peyton McNamee. Peyton McNamee dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Peyton McNamee showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pearse McWilliam, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aaron Walker in the 19th minute of play forced Caheradrine's goalkeeper Peyton McNamee to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peyton McNamee didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hewney Kirby went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Caheradrine's Peyton McNamee played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hewney Kirby in the 31st minute of play. Peyton McNamee took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barhart Costello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute, Hewney Kirby ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Peyton McNamee was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. A nice corner shot did that Tipper Savic got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Peyton McNamee quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Peyton McNamee showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Egan McLaughlin in the 46th minute of the match. Peyton McNamee showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pearse McWilliam in the 47th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pearse McWilliam to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute of the match, Barhart Costello tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Peyton McNamee saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 54 minutes into the match, Caheradrine's goal looked a bit too open when Hewney Kirby came free, but Peyton McNamee reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aaron Walker in the 59th minute of play forced Caheradrine's goalkeeper Peyton McNamee to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eamonn McWillie charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eamonn McWillie the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The crowd rose to their feet as St. James Gate F.C.'s Pearse McWilliam slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Peyton McNamee. That made the score 0-5 after 61 minutes of play. 67 minutes into the game, Pearse McWilliam lined in a short shot 0-6 behind a frustrated Peyton McNamee. With a little luck, Caheradrine's Peyton McNamee got control of the ball when Pearse McWilliam tried to sneak it across the goal line. Barhart Costello took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Peyton McNamee. Peyton McNamee dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. The crowd rose to their feet as St. James Gate F.C.'s Pearse McWilliam slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Peyton McNamee. That made the score 0-8 after 83 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Caheradrine's Barney Grant got a free kick in the 86th minute. In the 87th minute of the match Tipper Savic shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Peyton McNamee showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 88 minutes into the match, Caheradrine's goal looked a bit too open when Hewney Kirby came free, but Peyton McNamee reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peyton McNamee showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hewney Kirby in the 94th minute of the match. When the final whistle sounded St. James Gate F.C. left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Caheradrine.
