Pat Whitehead's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Seb Hopgood read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Rob Halliday made in the 18th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by ItsIkramFC's Piers Tinker. When Pat Whitehead came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the ItsIkramFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pat Whitehead couldn't finish the play. Nathanial Tomkin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nathanial Moyle having to interfere. If Pat Whitehead had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pat Whitehead scored 0-1 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Seb Hopgood, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nathanial Moyle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Picker, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. After a rather tough play, ItsIkramFC's Bill Pearce got a free kick in the 36th minute. After 38 played minutes, Haslemere FC's Quentin Peyton shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nathanial Moyle came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Haslemere FC reached it. When Pat Whitehead came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the ItsIkramFC fans jumped to their feet. After 41 played minutes Haslemere FC got a freekick which was hit by Rob Halliday. After a defensive mix-up in Haslemere FC's zone, Bill Pearce stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Seb Hopgood came out of the goal and Bill Pearce tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Seb Hopgood made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bill Nelson in the 47th minute of play. The Haslemere FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. ItsIkramFC were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pat Whitehead to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Bill Nelson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Seb Hopgood. The goal made the score 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Picker in the 57th minute of play forced ItsIkramFC's goalkeeper Nathanial Moyle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th minute, Pat Whitehead fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 59th minute, Pat Whitehead got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lawrence Budden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 62 minutes, Lawrence Budden managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ItsIkramFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lawrence Budden was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Rich Armstrong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pat Whitehead received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Seb Hopgood tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pat Whitehead struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Seb Hopgood didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ItsIkramFC. After 75 played minutes Haslemere FC got a freekick which was hit by Kristopher Moon. Pat Whitehead received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Haslemere FC's Seb Hopgood proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Haslemere FC from getting a goal against them. ItsIkramFC's Pat Whitehead got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Haslemere FC's Seb Hopgood played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kieran Coburn in the 94th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Lawrence Budden managed to get in a good position for a shot. ItsIkramFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lawrence Budden was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Seb Hopgood breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
