Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 20) Giorgos Bletsios stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jonathon Rushmere's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. 10 minutes into the match, Newbury's Jonathon Rushmere sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Giorgos Bletsios narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 11 minutes Chilcompton's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Bart Rhodes who took care of the corner kick. Newbury's Jonathon Rushmere got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 0-1 became the score in the 18th minute when Jonathon Rushmere elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. If Shaun Hornsby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Jonathon Rushmere's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Giorgos Bletsios was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. After 24 played minutes Chilcompton got a freekick which was hit by Shaun Hornsby. Giorgos Bletsios didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jonathon Rushmere went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Giorgos Bletsios made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bart Rhodes in the 30th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Newbury's Jonathon Rushmere sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Giorgos Bletsios narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 36th minute Jonathon Rushmere shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giorgos Bletsios saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marek Radcliffe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giorgos Bletsios having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Shaun Hornsby stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Newbury's Orson Cheswick played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kelvin Verity in the 53rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Jonathon Rushmere's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Giorgos Bletsios was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Andy Johnson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Orson Cheswick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shaun Hornsby, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Giorgos Bletsios breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ben Dalton in the 85th minute of play forced Chilcompton's goalkeeper Giorgos Bletsios to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 87 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Chilcompton! In the 91st minute of the match, Ben Dalton tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Giorgos Bletsios saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The crowd rose to their feet as Ben Dalton kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Giorgos Bletsios. That made the score 0-4 in the 93 minute of play.
