Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 0) 6 minutes into the match, Sowerby Bridge's Chris Deacon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Frank Brook narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Theo Pinder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Will Knott hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Theo Pinder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Millman having to interfere. After 16 minutes, Sonny Dale mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Greenwich FC and the Sowerby Bridge players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Sowerby Bridge booed when Greenwich FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sonny Dale didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tommy Millman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cody Rawlings in the 20th minute of the match. Tommy Millman came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Greenwich FC's Theo Pinder. But to his dismay, Theo Pinder quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Theo Pinder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frank Hellen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Frank Brook having to make a save. Chris Deacon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Theo Pinder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Tommy Millman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd minute of the match Billy Hornsby sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tommy Millman skillfully saved the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
52 minutes into the match, Chris Deacon notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Greenwich FC's Frank Brook. Frank Brook was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Sowerby Bridge's Sly Talbot got a free kick in the 64th minute. After having played for 69 minutes, Theo Pinder managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Greenwich FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Theo Pinder was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Sowerby Bridge's zone, Cody Rawlings stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Millman came out of the goal and Cody Rawlings tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Frank Brook stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Frank Hellen's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. In the 90th minute, Frank Hellen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Frank Brook showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Hellen in the 92nd minute of the match. After 93 minutes, Kristopher Elwick mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Greenwich FC and the Sowerby Bridge players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 93rd minute, Kristopher Elwick hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Greenwich FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
