Ash Lobb fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Calum Cullen having to interfere. Orson Laverack hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 21stth minute of the game Amancio Jacob who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Scunthorpe United's Calum Cullen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 24th minute, Kristopher Barker made a precise shot to the right of Christian Anderson. Malmesbury's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After 33 minutes of play, Malmesbury's Amancio Jacob made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Calum Cullen was left in no man's land by his defense there! Amancio Jacob kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. 38 minutes into the match, Scunthorpe United's goal looked a bit too open when Amancio Jacob came free, but Calum Cullen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Amancio Jacob's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Calum Cullen was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. In the 42nd match minute, Scunthorpe United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Grant Hassell to maneuver through the defense. Ash Lobb received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. The wind increased when Amancio Jacob made the kick off in the second half. Christian Anderson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Max Legzdins in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 58th minute, Bradley Longstaffe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Malmesbury's Amancio Jacob in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. If Ash Lobb had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Garth Hamer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Garth Hamer in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Calum Cullen saved Scunthorpe United from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Richie Lucas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Malmesbury's supporters rose to their feet, but Richie Lucas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Calum Cullen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Calum Cullen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ash Lobb in the 88th minute of the match. The supporters of Scunthorpe United booed when Malmesbury was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Phil Bullard didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ash Lobb had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Scunthorpe United fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Malmesbury were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
