Rodd Frain charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rodd Frain the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Curdridge getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Rodd Frain hit a great ball. In the 9th minute of the match, Vern Lynch got a very nice opportunity to score, but Al Timiney was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Simeon Wheeler's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Al Timiney read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Dunstable City's Aaron Bennett dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. If Rodd Frain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Simeon Wheeler during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Dunstable City's Simeon Wheeler got a free kick in the 27th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Dunstable City's zone, Zaq Brindley stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Richard Horsell came out of the goal and Zaq Brindley tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Curdridge's Zaq Brindley got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Tyler Armstrong managed to get in a good position for a shot. Curdridge's supporters rose to their feet, but Tyler Armstrong was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Richard Horsell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tyler Armstrong struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Richard Horsell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Curdridge. 43 minutes into the match, Curdridge's goal looked a bit too open when Simeon Wheeler came free, but Al Timiney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Tyler Armstrong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Simeon Wheeler made the kick off in the second half. John Paul Wray's late challenge caught a Curdridge's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. John Paul Wray helped the player get up and apologised. John Paul Wray kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Callum Wakefield received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Richard Horsell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tyler Armstrong recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 55th minute, Stewart Bakewell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot 57 in the game by Callum Wakefield from a close distance when the talented Richard Horsell managed to make a qualified save. Dunstable City's players were relieved. Tyler Armstrong struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Richard Horsell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Curdridge. In the 68th minute Vern Lynch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Al Timiney saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Al Timiney showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aaron Bennett, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Huey Miller lost his temper 76 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Curdridge fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 75th minute. Penalty! In the 79th minute there was a penalty for Dunstable City. Felix Corrigan stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Al Timiney. 2-0. Stevie Lane sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Curdridge made a substitution. Dom Southgate replaced Zaq Brindley. Richard Horsell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dom Southgate in the 85th minute of the match. Stevie Lane received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Richard Horsell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dunstable City's Richard Horsell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stevie Lane in the 88th minute of play. Rodd Frain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richard Horsell having to interfere. Stevie Lane sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Dunstable City were victorious despite being under pressure from Curdridge for much of the match.
