With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dave Freeman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jamal Keyworth in the 18th minute of play forced Micklefield's goalkeeper Dave Freeman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Vince Beerman notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Micklefield's Dave Freeman. Dave Freeman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nial Sherwood's late challenge caught a Neon Nemesis's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nial Sherwood helped the player get up and apologised. Nial Sherwood kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. If Matty Wills had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gwyn La Forte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matty Wills, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Gwyn La Forte was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Matty Wills showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 47 minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Matty Wills made a kick off. Neon Nemesis's attentive Jordan Mansell managed to snatch the ball when Camron Laurie made a throw-in in the 56th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Ronan Morcom managed to get in a good position for a shot. Neon Nemesis's supporters rose to their feet, but Ronan Morcom was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dave Freeman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jamal Keyworth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Camron Laurie kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. After 64 minutes of play, Micklefield's Matty Wills made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gwyn La Forte was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gav Moxon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th minute Gav Moxon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gwyn La Forte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dave Freeman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ronan Morcom's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Nial Sherwood kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. The supporters of Micklefield booed when Neon Nemesis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronan Morcom didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 86 minutes, Sebastien Child managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Micklefield's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastien Child was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Gav Moxon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matty Wills in the 89th minute of play forced Neon Nemesis's goalkeeper Gwyn La Forte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Jamal Keyworth managed to get in a good position for a shot. Neon Nemesis's supporters rose to their feet, but Jamal Keyworth was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dave Freeman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Neon Nemesis's Gwyn La Forte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gav Moxon in the 94th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Neon Nemesis players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
