With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jeremy Weston in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Al Coton saved Cranbrook AFC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lewis Radcliffe in the 14th minute of play forced Cranbrook AFC's goalkeeper Al Coton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18thth minute of the game Damion Winship who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Stevenage's George Kershaw was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Damion Winship took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for George Kershaw to make any attempt to save it.
