Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Kirk Hargreaves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rod Turnbull having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Kirk Hargreaves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wallsend AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kirk Hargreaves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rod Turnbull breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Wallsend AFC's zone, Gwyn Shilton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dane Gibbons came out of the goal and Gwyn Shilton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kirk Hargreaves in the 21st minute of play forced Kidlington's goalkeeper Rod Turnbull to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andre Gayle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Steve Fenton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A well placed Vince Graydon short distance shot in the 30th minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. A collision led to Kidlington getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Gwyn Shilton hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kirk Hargreaves in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rod Turnbull saved Kidlington from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kirk Hargreaves in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rod Turnbull prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kirk Hargreaves in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rod Turnbull saved Kidlington from getting behind. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kirk Hargreaves made a kick off. Rod Turnbull made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andre Gayle in the 59th minute of play. Kirk Hargreaves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 66th minute, Andre Gayle ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rod Turnbull was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Andre Gayle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 72nd minute, Kirk Hargreaves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Kidlington's goalkeeper Rod Turnbull, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kirk Hargreaves in the 77th minute of play forced Kidlington's goalkeeper Rod Turnbull to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andre Gayle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Rod Turnbull tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rod Turnbull stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andre Gayle's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. Rod Turnbull made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kirk Hargreaves in the 87th minute of play. Steve Fenton scored 3-0 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rod Turnbull, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 92 minutes into the match, Wallsend AFC's Andre Gayle sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rod Turnbull narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kirk Hargreaves scored 4-0 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rod Turnbull, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Wallsend AFC had played much better football throughout.
