Seating: 1729, VIP seats: 150) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ralph Kent got the match started through his kick off. When Burtonwood's Lucas Beresford in the 3rd minute got a chance for a shot 3rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Ralph Kent managed to get in a good position for a shot. Burtonwood's supporters rose to their feet, but Ralph Kent was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leroy Dibb breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Burtonwood booed when Forest Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. John-Paul Barfield didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastian Moore got free with Grant Machin in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Francis Price's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Grant Machin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Grant Machin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francis Price in the 35th minute of play. Sebastian Moore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th minute of the match, Francis Price tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Grant Machin saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Ralph Kent's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leroy Dibb read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Francis Price stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Francis Price managed to get in a good position for a shot. Forest Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Francis Price was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Grant Machin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 58 minutes into the match, Forest Club's goal looked a bit too open when Ralph Kent came free, but Leroy Dibb reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kristopher McNiven charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kristopher McNiven the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Forest Club booed when Burtonwood was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henry Lamb didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Brendon Wagstaff from long distance, 81 minutes into the match, got Leroy Dibb's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Franz Hicks's late challenge caught a Burtonwood's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Franz Hicks helped the player get up and apologised. In the 87th match minute, Forest Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Franz Hicks to maneuver through the defense. If Ralph Kent had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
