Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ash's Tim Tolley started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Greg Brooks made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Austen Beavan in the 15th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sebastien Story-Moore during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Patrick Maston's late challenge caught a Grangetown F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Patrick Maston helped the player get up and apologised. In the 26th minute, Patrick Maston hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th minute, Albert Dyson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A hard shot 32 in the game by Albert Dyson from a close distance when the talented Ralf Woodhall managed to make a qualified save. Grangetown F.C.'s players were relieved. Ralf Woodhall made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tim Tolley in the 33rd minute of play. When the match had been going on for 35 minutes, Ash's Sid Washington got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Ralf Woodhall. Tim Tolley struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Ralf Woodhall didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ash. Ralf Woodhall made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tim Tolley in the 42nd minute of play. After 44 minutes, Tim Tolley made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Grangetown F.C.'s Ralf Woodhall tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bryan Hurst to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tim Tolley in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ralf Woodhall prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Grangetown F.C.'s Ralf Woodhall played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tim Tolley in the 56th minute of play. Albert Dyson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Grangetown F.C. getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Hayden Way hit a great ball. Ralf Woodhall took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tim Tolley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ralf Woodhall showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albert Dyson, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Greg Brooks made an important save on a dangerous shot by Austen Beavan in the 68th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tim Tolley in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ralf Woodhall prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 75 played minutes Grangetown F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Brynn Dunning. After a defensive mix-up in Grangetown F.C.'s zone, Albert Dyson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ralf Woodhall came out of the goal and Albert Dyson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 77 played minutes Grangetown F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Hayden Way. 82 minutes into the game, Ash's Tim Tolley nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ralf Woodhall made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. When Leo Glanvill fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ash's protests and gave Leo Glanvill a yellow card for diving instead. Leo Glanvill kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. 89 minutes into the match, Ash's Albert Dyson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ralf Woodhall narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Tim Tolley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leo Glanvill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Albert Dyson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Ralf Woodhall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Ash players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
