Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Wayne Boothroyd showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Phil McGrath in the 4th minute of the match. Carl Dobson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wayne Boothroyd having to interfere. Brendon Carlisle hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 15th minute Phil McGrath shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wayne Boothroyd saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Horsham AFC's Phil McGrath in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Osp boys's goalie prevented a goal. In the 18th minute, Carl Dobson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Osp boys's Wayne Boothroyd played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Phil McGrath in the 20th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carl Dobson during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Horsham AFC's Dominik Mortlock played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alf Carter in the 30th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Phil McGrath in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wayne Boothroyd prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 33 played minutes Horsham AFC got a freekick which was hit by Malcolm Slade. Horsham AFC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Alf Carter 35 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. The supporters of Osp boys booed when Horsham AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Malcolm Slade didn't get a good kick on the ball. Al Sinclair received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Dominik Mortlock tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Phil McGrath to make the kick off. Wayne Boothroyd made an important save on a dangerous shot by Phil McGrath in the 52nd minute. Alf Carter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 56 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Alf Carter sped through Horsham AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dominik Mortlock. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alf Carter in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dominik Mortlock saved Horsham AFC from getting behind. If Al Sinclair had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th minute, Frank Brimble hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 69 minutes into the match, Osp boys's goal looked a bit too open when Terry Kent came free, but Wayne Boothroyd reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wayne Boothroyd took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Phil McGrath, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wes Barone kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Carl Dobson took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wayne Boothroyd. Wayne Boothroyd dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. The audience was convinced that Al Sinclair's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dominik Mortlock was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. A collision led to Horsham AFC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Giles Hutchinson hit a great ball. Wes Barone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Dominik Mortlock tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Hayden Ackland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee ended the match the Osp boys players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
