Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Austen Stone kicked off to start the match. Alistair Kirk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 9 minutes into the match, South Benfleet FC's goal looked a bit too open when Paddy Allwright came free, but Alfred Hunt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfred Hunt was out of position in the 10 minute of play, and Leo Welch capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Leo Welch really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Long Hanborough's zone, Alistair Kirk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Denny Bennet came out of the goal and Alistair Kirk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alfred Hunt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paddy Allwright, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Jonathon Cole had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Austen Stone came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the South Benfleet FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Austen Stone couldn't finish the play. Jonathon Cole recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 31 minutes, Paddy Allwright managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Long Hanborough's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paddy Allwright was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonathon Cole recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, South Benfleet FC's Alfred Hunt got control of the ball when Jonathon Cole tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Austen Stone in the 37th minute of play forced Long Hanborough's goalkeeper Denny Bennet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathon Cole sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Austen Stone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Denny Bennet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 45 minutes into the game, Victor Little was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Long Hanborough's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave South Benfleet FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Long Hanborough's Victor Little got a free kick in the 45th minute.

If Paddy Allwright had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfred Hunt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathon Cole, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Denny Bennet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Austen Stone in the 62nd minute of the match. After 63 minutes Long Hanborough's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Danny Humphreys who took care of the corner kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paddy Allwright in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfred Hunt saved South Benfleet FC from getting behind. Alfred Hunt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathon Cole, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Alfred Hunt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jonathon Cole's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. 77 minutes into the game, Austen Stone lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated Denny Bennet. Deon Fleetham hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in South Benfleet FC's zone, Jonathon Cole stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfred Hunt came out of the goal and Jonathon Cole tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Donny Ellerker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Denny Bennet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfred Hunt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paddy Allwright, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
