Spectators: 6600 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Craig Rundle started the match with the kick off. Dane Payne recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Craig Rundle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rufus Broadbent having to interfere. In the 9th minute, Ritchie Winstanley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Dane Payne fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stalowe United's protests and gave Dane Payne a yellow card for diving instead. After 10 played minutes Stalowe United got a freekick which was hit by Dane Payne. 12 minutes into the game, Christopher Toovey was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Stalowe United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Laindon FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Stalowe United's Christopher Toovey got a free kick in the 12th minute. Jacob Bastow took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 13th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Aaron Lawless. Stalowe United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Craig Rundle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Rufus Broadbent tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ritchie Winstanley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rufus Broadbent having to interfere. Craig Rundle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rufus Broadbent having to interfere. Laindon FC's Rufus Broadbent played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Wrigley in the 23rd minute of play. If Dane Payne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute of the match Rufus Culverhouse shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aaron Lawless showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 35 minutes, Ritchie Winstanley mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stalowe United and the Laindon FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 35th minute, Ritchie Winstanley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Ritchie Winstanley was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 38 minutes had been played. In the 38th match minute, Stalowe United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ritchie Winstanley to maneuver through the defense. Kyle East recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dane Payne was shown his second yellow card after 41 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 42 played minutes Stalowe United got a freekick which was hit by Dane Payne.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ralph Rutherford to strike the kick off in the second half. Craig Rundle blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rufus Broadbent having to make a save. In the 53rd minute, Craig Rundle ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rufus Broadbent was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. If Craig Rundle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rufus Broadbent took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Craig Rundle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Shane Davison hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. In the 64th minute, a hard, long distance shot from Jacob Bastow hit the top of the crossbar and flew over the goal. In the 66th minute, Kyle East hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Craig Rundle in the 84th minute of play forced Laindon FC's goalkeeper Rufus Broadbent to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rufus Broadbent took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Craig Rundle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Craig Rundle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rufus Broadbent having to interfere. Craig Rundle struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Rufus Broadbent didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stalowe United. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Noel Gettins during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Noel Gettins hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. In the 95th minute, Alf Chandler got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Stalowe United had played much better football throughout.
