After having played for 21 minutes, Perry Barker managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mason FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Perry Barker was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Perry Barker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rufus Broadbent having to interfere. After 26 minutes of play, Mason FC's Perry Barker made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rufus Broadbent was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ralph Rutherford blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pierce Meehan having to make a save. The supporters of Mason FC booed when Laindon FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martyn Bullock didn't get a good kick on the ball.
