Spectators: 7225 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Simon Bailey started the match with the kick off. Pat Neville came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Barnet AFC's Simon Bailey. But to his dismay, Simon Bailey quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 8 minutes into the game, Malcolm Sledge recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rodney Bullock. Malcolm Sledge showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Michael Bagshaw fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pat Neville having to interfere. In the 15th match minute, Crowngate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romeo Brownlow to maneuver through the defense. Jason Bridgeworth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Rodney Bullock tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, Barnet AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Malcolm Sledge came free, but Rodney Bullock reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Malcolm Sledge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jason Bridgeworth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Rodney Bullock tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 33 played minutes, Barnet AFC's Joel Grigg shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Pat Neville came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Barnet AFC reached it. Simon Bailey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Pat Neville tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pat Neville took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michael Bagshaw, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jason Bridgeworth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Rodney Bullock tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Malcolm Sledge made the kick off in the second half. Malcolm Sledge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Rodney Bullock tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jason Bridgeworth struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Rodney Bullock didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Crowngate. After 61 played minutes Crowngate got a freekick which was hit by Garry Shaw. Barnet AFC's Frazer Bloom couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Crowngate. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Malcolm Sledge during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 68th minute, Malcolm Sledge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ben Manson charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ben Manson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Crowngate booed when Barnet AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ben Manson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 75th minute of the match Garry Shaw sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rodney Bullock skillfully saved the ball. Michael Bagshaw came free with the goalkeeper in the 81st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Pat Neville could save by the left post. In the 85thth minute of the game Malcolm Sledge who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barnet AFC's Rodney Bullock was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcus Rockett during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Barnet AFC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Marcus Rockett hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, Barnet AFC's Pat Neville threw himself towards the right post 91 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Simon Bailey, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Barnet AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
