Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Carlton Alsford started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Niall Fuller took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jez Selby. Jez Selby dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Prestwich FC's Carlton Alsford got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carlton Alsford fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brad Hurst having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Ivan Hay managed to get in a good position for a shot. Prestwich FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ivan Hay was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brad Hurst breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Niall Fuller fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jez Selby having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, David Dowrick ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jez Selby was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Ivan Hay succeeded in the game's 26th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-2. After a rather tough play, Prestwich FC's Alfie Norman got a free kick in the 30th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Wanborough's zone, Carlton Alsford stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brad Hurst came out of the goal and Carlton Alsford tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carlton Alsford in the 40thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Brad Hurst, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ivan Hay might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Brad Hurst. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ivan Hay ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 44th minute Carlton Alsford shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brad Hurst saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brad Hurst took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlton Alsford, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Wanborough were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. David Dowrick was the one to do the kick off. If Rob Woolford had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wanborough's Brad Hurst played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlton Alsford in the 56th minute of play. In the 64th minute, Alfie Norman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Wanborough's goalkeeper Brad Hurst, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Carlton Alsford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Hay in the 70th minute of play forced Wanborough's goalkeeper Brad Hurst to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jez Selby showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Dowrick in the 75th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ashley Woods during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 78 played minutes Wanborough got a freekick which was hit by Ashley Woods. Ivan Hay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Carlton Alsford had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 92 minutes into the match, Prestwich FC's Ivan Hay sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Brad Hurst narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Wanborough's zone, Ivan Hay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brad Hurst came out of the goal and Ivan Hay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Carlton Alsford came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Prestwich FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlton Alsford couldn't finish the play. Prestwich FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
