Taverham FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Austen Walker was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Len Humphreys breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 12thth minute of the game Dave Pool who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Taverham FC's Kirk Mansell was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Austen Walker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vince Clarke during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Tipton United getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Vince Clarke hit a great ball. Dominic Blythe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Kirk Mansell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Taverham FC's goalkeeper Kirk Mansell, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 26th match minute, Taverham FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Philip Poynton to maneuver through the defense. If Dominic Blythe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 30th minute, Dominic Blythe left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tipton United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Austen Walker charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Austen Walker the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Austin Naylor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. Kirk Mansell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dominic Blythe, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dominic Blythe in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kirk Mansell prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 40 minutes into the game, Dave Pool cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Kirk Mansell was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Austen Walker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dominic Blythe's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kirk Mansell read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. After having played for 48 minutes, Dave Pool managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tipton United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dave Pool was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when John-Paul Rawlings made the kick off in the second half. When Tipton United's Austin Naylor in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Taverham FC's goalie prevented a goal. When Austin Naylor fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tipton United's protests and gave Austin Naylor a yellow card for diving instead. In the 55th minute, Austin Naylor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Austen Walker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Dave Pool had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Taverham FC's Kirk Mansell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dave Pool in the 63rd minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, Taverham FC's John-Paul Rawlings sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Len Humphreys narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 73 minutes into the game, Dave Pool lined in a short shot 0-3 behind a frustrated Kirk Mansell. If Dominic Blythe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dominic Blythe who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 82ndth minute tested the skills of Kirk Mansell when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With his leg Kirk Mansell managed to avoid a goal in the 87thth minute, when Tipton United's Dominic Blythe fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpected shot in the 91st minute by Dave Pool got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Dominic Blythe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tipton United's Dave Pool got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tipton United's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
