Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sean Kalischer started the match with the kick off. 8 minutes into the match, Thetford AFC's goalkeeper Piers Sansom had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marlon Oatway. Ash Leatherdale kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Honiton's Piers Broadhead got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 15 minutes in the game, Marlon Oatway fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Piers Sansom having to interfere. Jason McRobbie charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jason McRobbie the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Thetford AFC's Jason McRobbie got a free kick in the 24th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Piers Broadhead in the 27th minute of play forced Thetford AFC's goalkeeper Piers Sansom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luke Horner didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rio Fawcett went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Rex Wardle charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rex Wardle the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Honiton getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Rex Wardle hit a great ball. Piers Broadhead sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Marlon Oatway came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Honiton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marlon Oatway couldn't finish the play. If Piers Broadhead had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Piers Sansom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marlon Oatway in the 53rd minute of play. Piers Sansom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Piers Broadhead, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sean Kalischer in the 60th minute of play forced Honiton's goalkeeper Luke Horner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Grant Leather blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Piers Sansom having to make a save. When Honiton's Marlon Oatway in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Thetford AFC's goalie prevented a goal. With a little luck, Honiton's Luke Horner got control of the ball when Rio Fawcett tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 65th minute, Marcus Bowen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Thetford AFC's zone, Piers Broadhead stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Piers Sansom came out of the goal and Piers Broadhead tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Marlon Oatway had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Grant Leather had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rio Fawcett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luke Horner having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in Thetford AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 78th minute. Penalty! Piers Sansom went to the wrong direction when Drew Vickers was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Thetford AFC's Piers Sansom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Piers Broadhead in the 82nd minute of play. Piers Sansom stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marlon Oatway's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. The audience was convinced that Marlon Oatway's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Piers Sansom was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. Piers Sansom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Piers Broadhead, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Grant Leather managed to get in a good position for a shot. Honiton's supporters rose to their feet, but Grant Leather was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Piers Sansom breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Marlon Oatway had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Piers Sansom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Piers Broadhead, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sean Kalischer in the 95th minute of play forced Honiton's goalkeeper Luke Horner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Honiton were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Thetford AFC to leave the ground with a draw.
