Kyle Moxon's late challenge caught a Honiton's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kyle Moxon helped the player get up and apologised. When Piers Broadhead came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Honiton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Piers Broadhead couldn't finish the play. If Marlon Oatway had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oscar Froggatt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Piers Broadhead, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Piers Broadhead ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Piers Broadhead in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oscar Froggatt saved Langut SSA from getting behind. Luke Horner didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hugh Morrison went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. If Piers Broadhead had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Piers Broadhead stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Honiton's Marlon Oatway got a free kick in the 55th minute. In the 60th minute Piers Broadhead shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oscar Froggatt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 63 minutes, Denis Eubank mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Honiton and the Langut SSA players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Piers Broadhead in the 80th minute of play forced Langut SSA's goalkeeper Oscar Froggatt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 86 minutes, Piers Broadhead managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Honiton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Piers Broadhead was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 87th match minute, Langut SSA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kyle Moxon to maneuver through the defense. Oscar Froggatt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Piers Broadhead in the 88th minute of play. In the 89th match minute, Langut SSA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Micheal Chalk to maneuver through the defense. If Marlon Oatway had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Langut SSA's zone, Piers Broadhead stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oscar Froggatt came out of the goal and Piers Broadhead tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marlon Oatway struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Oscar Froggatt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Honiton. Piers Broadhead was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 97th minute. Honiton's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Langut SSA succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Honiton had controlled the match.
