Lucas Stockton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Kristopher Tomlin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Carlton Brazier came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Wells fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlton Brazier couldn't finish the play. Stephen Barton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 27th match minute, Wells was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlton Brazier to maneuver through the defense. Stephen Barton came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Didcot AFC's Warren Rotherfield. But to his dismay, Warren Rotherfield quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Robin Bromley hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Crispin Rusby recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nath Shaw hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Warren Rotherfield's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stephen Barton was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Crispin Rusby made a kick off. Stephen Barton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reuben Rothwell, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 53rd minute Warren Rotherfield shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stephen Barton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 56 minutes into the match, Didcot AFC's Warren Rotherfield sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Stephen Barton narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 58th minute, Carlton Brazier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 62nd minute, Lucas Stockton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Warren Rotherfield had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Wells booed when Didcot AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reuben Rothwell didn't get a good kick on the ball. Warren Rotherfield received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After 79 played minutes Didcot AFC got a freekick which was hit by Glyn Skinner. Wells's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Isac Carvalhais was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Didcot AFC fully deserved thier win.
