Fraser Phippard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Pete Hehir tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, Harpenden's goal looked a bit too open when Les Lane came free, but Andre Hay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pete Hehir was a little too slow when Dylan Slator got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 30th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 40th minute Mark Burns shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andre Hay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fraser Phippard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Pete Hehir tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

A hard shot 55 in the game by Les Lane from a close distance when the talented Andre Hay managed to make a qualified save. Harpenden's players were relieved. Pete Hehir showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dylan Slator, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Pete Hehir came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Harpenden's Dylan Slator. But to his dismay, Dylan Slator quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. The supporters of Ipswich booed when Harpenden was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mickey Beevers didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pete Hehir showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dylan Slator in the 64th minute of the match. When Mark Burns came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Ipswich fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mark Burns couldn't finish the play. 69 minutes into the match, Ipswich's goal looked a bit too open when Dylan Slator came free, but Pete Hehir reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Fraser Phippard came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Harpenden fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fraser Phippard couldn't finish the play. Pete Hehir took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dylan Slator, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Les Lane in the 84thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Andre Hay, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ipswich's Mark Burns got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Les Lane fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andre Hay having to interfere. 95 minutes into the match, Ipswich's goal looked a bit too open when Fraser Phippard came free, but Pete Hehir reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Mark Burns had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Harpenden's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
