Ross Blackburn came out of the goal and Sammy Tanner tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sammy Tanner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Ross Blackburn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stewart Downes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix England in the 42nd minute of play. If Sammy Tanner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The audience was convinced that Sammy Tanner's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ross Blackburn was relentless in the 46th minute of the game.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zack Corcoran to strike the kick off in the second half.
