Olly Burnett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carl Lambert, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Josh Millman notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Wigmore United's Mick Blewitt. Mick Blewitt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carl Lambert in the 39th minute of play forced Red Bull's goalkeeper Olly Burnett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th minute, Ashley Harban ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mick Blewitt was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. The Wigmore United players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Red Bull were winning 0-3.

The wind increased when Ashley Harban made the kick off in the second half. Seth Goacher's late challenge caught a Wigmore United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. Wigmore United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kirk Lydiate was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 94 minutes into the match, Wigmore United's goalkeeper Mick Blewitt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dave Pool. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Red Bull eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
