Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gerry Garrett took the kick off in the first half of the match. Kris Sheppard in the 3rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Olly Burnett, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Olly Burnett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerry Garrett in the 8th minute of play. Kris Sheppard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olly Burnett having to interfere. Gerry Garrett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Knottingley's Roger Cousens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ashley Harban in the 18th minute of play. Kris Sheppard came free with the goalkeeper in the 20th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Olly Burnett could save by the left post. Knottingley's Roger Cousens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ashley Harban in the 23rd minute of play. Gerry Garrett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olly Burnett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerry Garrett, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Kris Sheppard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olly Burnett having to interfere. In the 34thth minute of the game Gerry Garrett who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Red Bull's Olly Burnett was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerry Garrett in the 35th minute of play forced Red Bull's goalkeeper Olly Burnett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tristram Wilberforce during the 49th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Knottingley's Jimmy Holstead couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 51st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Red Bull.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ashley Harban was the one to do the kick off. In the 57th match minute, Red Bull was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fitz Dransfield to maneuver through the defense. When Kris Sheppard came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Knottingley fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kris Sheppard couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Red Bull getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Seth Goacher hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Kris Sheppard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Olly Burnett was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. Josh Millman who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 67thth minute tested the skills of Roger Cousens when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 69 minutes into the game, Gerry Garrett was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Knottingley's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Red Bull the free kick. A collision led to Knottingley getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Gerry Garrett hit a great ball. Josh Millman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 75th minute, Lennie Rusk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 78th minute, Kris Sheppard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kris Sheppard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Knottingley getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Gerry Garrett hit a great ball. After having played for 88 minutes, Ashley Harban managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Red Bull's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ashley Harban was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 100 minutes into the match, Knottingley's goalkeeper Roger Cousens had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Josh Millman. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Knottingley fully deserved thier win.
