An unexpectedly hard shot by Charlie Crowther in the 17th minute of play forced Chelski FC's goalkeeper Duncan McNiven to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cheddar's goalkeeper Neil Blackley, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Neil Blackley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lennie Charlton in the 21st minute of the match. In the 28th minute, Benjamin Barnfield got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 35th minute Charlie Crowther shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duncan McNiven saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benjamin Barnfield scored 1-0 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Neil Blackley, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Chelski FC's Will Adamson got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 48 minutes into the match, Chelski FC's Benjamin Barnfield sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Neil Blackley narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Lennie Charlton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lennie Charlton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Neil Blackley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lennie Charlton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cheddar's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lennie Charlton was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Perry Newton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Duncan McNiven made a huge save. In the 96th minute, Basil Neville hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chelski FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
