Spectators: 6663 (Terracing: 5653, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 10) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Julian Monkhouse started the match with the kick off. Ronan Bower kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. When Julian Monkhouse came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Phoenix FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julian Monkhouse couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Phoenix FC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Ivor Watson hit a great ball. Anthony Sissons hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Jason Hughes-Guy hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Ronnie Wheeler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ronnie Wheeler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dale Warner having to interfere. Austen Jefferson charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Austen Jefferson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The goalkeeper, Nigel Watkinson, was totally fooled by Jórvik FC's Callum Winterburn, who 17 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Julian Monkhouse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Danny Gilchrist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Phoenix FC's Julian Monkhouse in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Jórvik FC's goalie prevented a goal. Jórvik FC's Dale Warner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Monkhouse in the 36th minute of play. The supporters of Jórvik FC booed when Phoenix FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kris Rowell didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 40th minute, Kris Rowell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nigel Watkinson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonny McGrath in the 41st minute of play. Dale Warner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Warren Lindley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Ronnie Wheeler came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Phoenix FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronnie Wheeler couldn't finish the play. In the 46th minute, Julian Monkhouse ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dale Warner was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Dale Warner made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Ronnie Wheeler sent off a good shot on target. Nigel Watkinson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jonny McGrath went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Julian Monkhouse managed to get in a good position for a shot. Phoenix FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Julian Monkhouse was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dale Warner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 67th minute, Tommy Crowther hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ronnie Wheeler blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dale Warner having to make a save. Dale Warner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Monkhouse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 93 minutes into the match, Jórvik FC's goalkeeper Dale Warner had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ronnie Wheeler. After having played for 95 minutes, Julian Monkhouse managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Phoenix FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julian Monkhouse was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, Jórvik FC could leave the field as winners, despite Phoenix FC having more of the ball for most of the match.
