Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Barry Botham started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Malcolm Strongman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jamie Hudson having to make a save. 8 minutes in the game Stevie Huxtable did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Howard Lovell. 12 minutes into the match, Jeff Swanson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jamie Hudson. Chorley Grosvenor's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jeff Swanson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Rueben Ring's late challenge caught a Chorley Grosvenor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rueben Ring helped the player get up and apologised. In the 16th minute, Rueben Ring hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jamie Hudson came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Torpoint City's Malcolm Strongman. But to his dismay, Malcolm Strongman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Stevie Huxtable made in the 31st minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Howard Lovell however managed to control. If Howard Lovell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Torpoint City's Dom Longstaff played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barry Botham in the 39th minute of play. Ryan Kinsey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Malcolm Strongman made a kick off. Howard Lovell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Dom Longstaff tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Malcolm Strongman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jamie Hudson having to interfere. In the 71st minute, Clive Redwood-Turner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Torpoint City's zone, Ryan Kinsey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dom Longstaff came out of the goal and Ryan Kinsey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dom Longstaff took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ryan Kinsey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ryan Kinsey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Dom Longstaff tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ryan Kinsey recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 86th minute, Barry Botham ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dom Longstaff was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Stevie Huxtable got a throw-in 89 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Barry Botham. 92 minutes into the game, Stevie Huxtable threw the ball into play from the sideline. Torpoint City's Rueben Ring quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. A throw-in in the 94th minute of the game was made by Stevie Huxtable with Howard Lovell as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The Chorley Grosvenor supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Torpoint City's performance. The match ended with a win for Torpoint City.
