Ricky Sparkes struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Teddy Hawke didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hadleigh FC. After some careless play in the The Myrmidons defense, Ricky Sparkes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Teddy Hawke. The The Myrmidons fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Teddy Hawke should have stopped the shot. Timothy Sills came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by The Myrmidons's Will Blakeley. But to his dismay, Will Blakeley quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 18th minute Ricky Sparkes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teddy Hawke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ricky Sparkes came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Hadleigh FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ricky Sparkes couldn't finish the play. Timothy Sills showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Will Blakeley, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Felix Boyes kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. The supporters of Hadleigh FC booed when The Myrmidons was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hayden Riad didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Ricky Sparkes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hadleigh FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ricky Sparkes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teddy Hawke breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ronny Panther might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Teddy Hawke. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ronny Panther ran back to his position shaking his head. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Hadleigh FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
