After 5 played minutes Stan Marriott rounded High Hesket United's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. 8 minutes into the match, High Hesket United's goalkeeper Luke Best had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Larry Forrester. Gaz Bowen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 13th minute, Man City's Rufus Creighton dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Luke Best didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gaz Bowen went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Luke Best took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stan Marriott, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gaz Bowen got free with Luke Best in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 28 minutes into the match, High Hesket United's goal looked a bit too open when Stan Marriott came free, but Luke Best reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gaz Bowen came free with the goalkeeper in the 30th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Luke Best could save by the left post. Luke Best took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rufus Creighton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luke Best made an important save on a dangerous shot by Larry Forrester in the 34th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stan Marriott in the 35th minute of play forced High Hesket United's goalkeeper Luke Best to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luke Best took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stan Marriott, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Man City's Luke Best threw himself towards the right post 38 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Stan Marriott, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. High Hesket United's Luke Best played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rufus Creighton in the 39th minute of play. Luke Best was out of position in the 41 minute of play, and Stan Marriott capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Stan Marriott really showed his touch with that goal: 6-0. 44 minutes into the game, Gaz Bowen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Luke Best was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Brett Messenger hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 57th minute, Rufus Creighton made a precise shot to the right of Luke Best. High Hesket United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 9-0. After having played for 60 minutes, Stan Marriott managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Man City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stan Marriott was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luke Best took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rufus Creighton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 63 minutes into the match, High Hesket United's goal looked a bit too open when Larry Forrester came free, but Luke Best reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the High Hesket United defense, Gaz Bowen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luke Best. The High Hesket United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luke Best should have stopped the shot. 70 minutes into the match, High Hesket United's goal looked a bit too open when Gaz Bowen came free, but Luke Best reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lee Clarke kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. High Hesket United's Luke Best played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stan Marriott in the 74th minute of play. After a rather tough play, High Hesket United's Nathanial Bentham got a free kick in the 77th minute. Luke Best made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Larry Forrester in the 79th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, Gaz Bowen notched a goal, 12-0, to the right of High Hesket United's Luke Best. Luke Best was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 84 minutes of play, Man City's Gaz Bowen made it 13-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luke Best was left in no man's land by his defense there! Larry Forrester scored 14-0 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luke Best, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luke Best made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rufus Creighton in the 92nd minute of play. In the 93rd minute Stan Marriott shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luke Best saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luke Best showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stan Marriott in the 95th minute of the match. Luke Best came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Man City's Gaz Bowen. But to his dismay, Gaz Bowen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 15-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Man City had played much better football throughout.
