Spectators: 6622 (Terracing: 4900, Seating: 1722, VIP seats: 0) High Hesket United's Mark Holt started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Roy Longthorn charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roy Longthorn the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Sutton Coldfield's Roy Longthorn got a free kick in the 3rd minute. The supporters of Sutton Coldfield booed when High Hesket United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nathanial Bentham didn't get a good kick on the ball. 7 minutes into the match, High Hesket United's goalkeeper Luke Best had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Chip Coombe. Mark Holt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 20th minute, Sebastien Pascoe reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Luke Best. The goal made the score 1-0. Luke Best showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastien Pascoe, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Chip Coombe scored 2-0 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luke Best, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Mark Holt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lee Clarke lost his temper 39 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. When the match had been going on for 41 minutes, Sutton Coldfield's Philip Marshall got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Luke Best. Brett Messenger recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Sebastien Pascoe made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, High Hesket United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brett Messenger to maneuver through the defense. High Hesket United's Luke Best played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chip Coombe in the 52nd minute of play. Brynn Bridgeworth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luke Best showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chip Coombe in the 63rd minute of the match. Brynn Bridgeworth hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastien Pascoe in the 67th minute of play forced High Hesket United's goalkeeper Luke Best to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luke Best came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Sutton Coldfield's Roy Longthorn. But to his dismay, Roy Longthorn quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chip Coombe in the 73rd minute of play forced High Hesket United's goalkeeper Luke Best to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th minute Sebastien Pascoe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luke Best saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the High Hesket United defense, Sebastien Pascoe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luke Best. The High Hesket United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luke Best should have stopped the shot. High Hesket United's Brynn Bridgeworth got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. High Hesket United's Luke Best played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastien Pascoe in the 90th minute of play. In the 91st minute Chip Coombe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luke Best saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brynn Bridgeworth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Damien Silvester tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Sutton Coldfield's Brad Harris got a free kick in the 93rd minute. High Hesket United's Luke Best played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastien Pascoe in the 97th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Sutton Coldfield had won after a very even match.
