Steve Cousins stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gaz Bowen's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. Gus Blunt hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Larry Forrester in the 15th minute of play forced Feltham FC's goalkeeper Steve Cousins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Feltham FC's Steve Cousins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaz Bowen in the 19th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stan Marriott in the 21st minute of play forced Feltham FC's goalkeeper Steve Cousins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Larry Forrester sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 28 minutes into the game, Gus Blunt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Feltham FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Man City the free kick. Gus Blunt hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Vince England kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Steve Cousins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaz Bowen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Larry Forrester managed to get in a good position for a shot. Man City's supporters rose to their feet, but Larry Forrester was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Steve Cousins breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Larry Forrester received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Steve Cousins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Feltham FC's Steve Cousins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stan Marriott in the 40th minute of play. Man City's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Eric Mitchell 42 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. Gaz Bowen struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Steve Cousins didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Man City. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

52 minutes into the game, Man City's Lawrence Piercy nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Steve Cousins made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Lawrence Piercy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Man City's Lawrence Piercy got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 64th minute Stan Marriott shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Steve Cousins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Steve Cousins made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Gaz Bowen sent off a good shot on target. Gus Blunt hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gaz Bowen got free with Steve Cousins in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 72nd minute, Man City's Gaz Bowen ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Steve Cousins. Steve Cousins yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. If Larry Forrester had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Man City's Stan Marriott slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Steve Cousins. That made the score 1-4 after 80 minutes of play. In the 83rd play minute Gaz Bowen came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Steve Cousins. 1-5. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Stan Marriott managed to get in a good position for a shot. Man City's supporters rose to their feet, but Stan Marriott was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Steve Cousins breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Steve Cousins showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stan Marriott, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. When Man City's Stan Marriott in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Feltham FC's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lawrence Piercy in the 95th minute of play forced Feltham FC's goalkeeper Steve Cousins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle sounded Man City left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Feltham FC.
