Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Sly Christensen made the kick off which started today's match. In the 3rd minute, Ron Millman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tom Norton in the 6th minute of play forced St Arsene Fc's goalkeeper Ted Burrows to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Brompton FC's Lance Butterworth got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 12th minute, Brandon Whalley sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Brompton FC's Iain Layfield didn't even have to move. Iain Layfield showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sly Christensen, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Ted Burrows showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tom Norton in the 16th minute of the match. St Arsene Fc's Ted Burrows played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tom Norton in the 18th minute of play. Brynn Pettifer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ted Burrows having to interfere. In the 25th minute Malcolm Hislop shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iain Layfield saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Malcolm Hislop put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Iain Layfield. An unexpectedly hard shot by Malcolm Hislop in the 30th minute of play forced Brompton FC's goalkeeper Iain Layfield to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brynn Pettifer in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ted Burrows saved St Arsene Fc from getting behind. 37 minutes into the match, St Arsene Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Tom Norton came free, but Ted Burrows reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ted Burrows didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 39th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. Brompton FC's Brynn Pettifer got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Tom Norton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brompton FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tom Norton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ted Burrows breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

65 minutes into the match, Brompton FC's goal looked a bit too open when Conal Gunn came free, but Iain Layfield reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iain Layfield made an important save on a dangerous shot by Malcolm Hislop in the 66th minute. 68 minutes into the match, Brompton FC's goalkeeper Iain Layfield had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Malcolm Hislop. The crowd rose to their feet as St Arsene Fc's Sly Christensen slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Iain Layfield. That made the score 1-2 after 75 minutes of play. Malcolm Hislop fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iain Layfield having to interfere. When Brompton FC's Tom Norton in 82 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Ted Burrows guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Sly Christensen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Iain Layfield tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The St Arsene Fc supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing St Arsene Fc would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
