Ashley Webster sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ray Bassett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eric Addison in the 4th minute of play. 6 minutes into the game, Cleckheaton's Benji Delamore nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ray Bassett made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After a rather tough play, Cleckheaton's Eric Addison got a free kick in the 13th minute. Ray Bassett was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Kris Parks showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 17 minute of play. Ashley Webster could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Ray Bassett made a huge save. A collision led to BAC FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Syd Carragher hit a great ball. With a little luck, BAC FC's Ray Bassett got control of the ball when Ashley Webster tried to sneak it across the goal line. Verne McGurk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vinnie Carter's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tris Long read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. Ray Bassett made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Eric Addison sent off a good shot on target. Brad East hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. The throw-in from Greg Schofield in the 42nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by BAC FC's Tim Monkman. In the 43rd minute, Ashley Webster hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Brad East made the kick off in the second half. Ray Bassett didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Cleckheaton's Ashley Webster shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 3-0 in the ordered_time% minute. BAC FC's Ray Bassett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brendon Mayfield in the 55th minute of play. Ray Bassett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benji Delamore, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. BAC FC's Tim Monkman managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Greg Schofield in the 60 minute of the game. Cleckheaton's Tris Long proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Cleckheaton from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vinnie Carter in the 63rd minute of play forced Cleckheaton's goalkeeper Tris Long to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ray Bassett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ashley Webster, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ray Bassett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ashley Webster in the 71st minute of the match. In the 73rd match minute, Cleckheaton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kris Parks to maneuver through the defense. After 76 played minutes BAC FC got a freekick which was hit by Tim Monkman. 78 minutes into the game, Greg Schofield threw the ball into play from the sideline. BAC FC's Tim Monkman quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Verne McGurk hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. In the 89th minute Brendon Mayfield shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ray Bassett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 91 minutes into the game, Cleckheaton's Kris Parks nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ray Bassett made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. When the referee ended the match the Cleckheaton players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
