Simon Faulkner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donald Clifton, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. After a rather tough play, Lindfield's Rory Pope got a free kick in the 45th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Damian Snowden was the one to do the kick off. Donald Clifton succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-2 in the 53rd playminute. Damian Snowden showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. Lindfield's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
