Spectators: 7247 (Terracing: 5501, Seating: 1735, VIP seats: 11) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mick Hoult started the match with the kick off. When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Gez Adams put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Glyn Drysdale. The INVASION fans' excitement grew in the 10th match minute when INVASION's Sean Hackney looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a little luck, INVASION's Pat Willoughby got control of the ball when Bob Downing tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bob Downing got free with Pat Willoughby in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mick Hoult sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Sean Hackney managed to get in a good position for a shot. INVASION's supporters rose to their feet, but Sean Hackney was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Glyn Drysdale breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gez Adams in the 29th minute of play forced FIVEteen United's goalkeeper Glyn Drysdale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 30 minutes into the match, INVASION's Gez Adams sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Glyn Drysdale narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Glyn Drysdale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gez Adams, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Gez Adams had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gez Adams received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Glyn Drysdale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sean Hackney stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in FIVEteen United's zone, Sean Hackney stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Glyn Drysdale came out of the goal and Sean Hackney tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sean Hackney recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 63 minutes into the match, FIVEteen United's goalkeeper Glyn Drysdale had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gez Adams. 65 minutes into the match, INVASION's Sean Hackney sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Glyn Drysdale narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gez Adams recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gez Adams struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Glyn Drysdale didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for INVASION. Glyn Drysdale made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Gez Adams sent off a good shot on target. Glyn Drysdale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sean Hackney, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 79 minutes into the match, FIVEteen United's goal looked a bit too open when Warren Longthorn came free, but Glyn Drysdale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Gez Adams had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 83 played minutes FIVEteen United got a freekick which was hit by Graeme Hinshelwood. The supporters of FIVEteen United booed when INVASION was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Warren Longthorn didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Gez Adams managed to get in a good position for a shot. INVASION's supporters rose to their feet, but Gez Adams was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Glyn Drysdale breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 95 minutes into the game, Sean Hackney lined in a short shot 0-4 behind a frustrated Glyn Drysdale. If Bob Downing had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 100th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. INVASION's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
