Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Terry Bzeu got the match started through his kick off. 9 minutes into the game, Terry Bzeu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Nat Walls was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mark Revell scored 1-2 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Donny Flintoff, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nat Walls made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Joey Thurman sent off a good shot on target. 20 minutes into the game, Garry Holland cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Donny Flintoff was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Helsby's goalkeeper Nat Walls, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Helsby fans' excitement grew in the 25th match minute when Helsby's Garry Holland looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 30th minute Garry Holland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donny Flintoff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benji Llyod kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Nat Walls stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Terry Bzeu's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. After having played for 44 minutes, Terry Bzeu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Highbury and Islington AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Terry Bzeu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Terry Bzeu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Highbury and Islington AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Terry Bzeu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nat Walls breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

If Joey Thurman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Terry Bzeu in the 53rd minute of play forced Helsby's goalkeeper Nat Walls to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 54 minutes into the game, Terry Bzeu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Nat Walls was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Joey Thurman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nat Walls having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joey Thurman in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nat Walls prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Joey Thurman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Nat Walls made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joey Thurman in the 73rd minute of play. Highbury and Islington AFC's Joey Thurman got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nat Walls showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joey Thurman in the 81st minute of the match. With 82 minutes on the clock, Daniel Wadham commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 82 minutes into the game, one of Highbury and Islington AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Donny Flintoff, was totally fooled by Helsby's Garry Murtagh, who 85 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Joey Thurman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Highbury and Islington AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Joey Thurman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nat Walls breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 91st match minute, Highbury and Islington AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benji Llyod to maneuver through the defense. The Helsby supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Helsby would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
