A collision led to Waterloo United getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Joel Tanner hit a great ball. The supporters of Staines FC booed when Waterloo United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eric Nightingale didn't get a good kick on the ball. CJ Joy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but David Gardner read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. Chip Waterhouse kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. When Alistair Starr fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Waterloo United's protests and gave Alistair Starr a yellow card for diving instead. After 9 played minutes Waterloo United got a freekick which was hit by Alistair Starr. An unexpectedly hard shot by CJ Joy in the 9th minute of play forced Waterloo United's goalkeeper David Gardner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stuart Peat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alistair Starr, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Waterloo United were awarded a corner in the 12th minute after Staines FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Tanner took the corner. After some careless play in the Waterloo United defense, Gregory Gallacher kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of David Gardner. The Waterloo United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that David Gardner should have stopped the shot. Kelvin Flack received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Stuart Peat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eric Nightingale kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Gregory Gallachers short, quick shot in the 22ndth minute got David Gardner to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After having played for 23 minutes, Alistair Starr managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Waterloo United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alistair Starr was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Stuart Peat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alistair Starr in the 26th minute of the match. Stuart Peat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kelvin Flack, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. David Gardner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from CJ Joy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Staines FC's Stuart Peat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alistair Starr in the 35th minute of play. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Through an outstanding action, after 66 minutes, Stuart Peat successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Staines FC's Stuart Peat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alistair Starr in the 68th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alistair Starr in the 69th minute of play forced Staines FC's goalkeeper Stuart Peat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Staines FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0.
