Spectators: 6455 (Terracing: 5680, Seating: 700, VIP seats: 75) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Guy Gunn kicked off to start the match. When the match clock showed 9 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Guy Gunn sped through South Shields's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Aaron Knight. Aaron Knight came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Lavendon City's Perry Laycock. But to his dismay, Perry Laycock quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After 14 played minutes South Shields got a freekick which was hit by Ricky Dobson. In the 21st match minute, South Shields was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johnathon Alsop to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Perry Laycock took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Aaron Knight to make any attempt to save it. Aaron Knight was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Perry Laycock showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-0 in the 26 minute of play. Guy Gunn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Aaron Knight tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th minute Perry Laycock shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aaron Knight saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Johnathon Alsop hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 37 minutes into the match, Lavendon City's goal looked a bit too open when Verne Bell came free, but Kristopher Chilton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Lavendon City's David Connett got a free kick in the 44th minute. After 45 played minutes, South Shields's Frankie Slater shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kristopher Chilton came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in South Shields reached it. The referee felt a red card was in order, 47 minutes into the game, when Mickey Deeney put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Lavendon City fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 46th minute. Penalty! All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Johnathon Alsop made the kick off in the second half. Craig Cole fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aaron Knight having to interfere. After 54 minutes of play, Lavendon City's Perry Laycock made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aaron Knight was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ricky Dobson kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. When Verne Bell fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored South Shields's protests and gave Verne Bell a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Lavendon City booed when South Shields was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Verne Bell didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the South Shields defense, Perry Laycock kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aaron Knight. The South Shields fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aaron Knight should have stopped the shot. Ricky Dobson hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. After 74 played minutes Lavendon City got a freekick which was hit by Sam Bond. Kristopher Chilton made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ricky Dobson in the 78th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johnathon Alsop in the 81st minute of play forced Lavendon City's goalkeeper Kristopher Chilton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kristopher Chilton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Johnathon Alsop, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 86 minutes, Perry Laycock managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lavendon City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Perry Laycock was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After having played for 88 minutes, Denny Lester managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aaron Knight breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dean Simms kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. After 93 minutes, Matty Bacon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the South Shields and the Lavendon City players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 93 played minutes South Shields got a freekick which was hit by Matty Bacon. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Lavendon City fully deserved thier win.
