Spectators: 8107 (Terracing: 6113, Seating: 1874, VIP seats: 120) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Camron Fitzsymon started the match with the kick off. When Garry Cheesman came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Liverpool1978 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Garry Cheesman couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sly Ainsworth got free with Julian Currie in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 13th minute Simon Fitter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albert Ford saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Rob Norman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Liverpool1978's supporters rose to their feet, but Rob Norman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julian Currie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 17th minute, Sly Ainsworth ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julian Currie was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 19th minute, Sly Ainsworth left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Liverpool1978 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Liverpool1978's Sly Ainsworth got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Albert Ford made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camron Fitzsymon in the 29th minute of play. Julian Currie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Garry Cheesman in the 31st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rob Norman in the 32nd minute of play forced Harold Hsdf's goalkeeper Julian Currie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julian Currie had great luck who in the 34thth minute grab hold of the ball when Garry Cheesman from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 35th minute, Tommy Burkinshaw got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Garry Cheesman got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 4-0 in the right cross in the 41st match minute before Julian Currie had time to react. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The wind increased when Garry Cheesman made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Harold Hsdf's goal looked a bit too open when Garry Cheesman came free, but Julian Currie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, Liverpool1978's Rufus Hibbert sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julian Currie narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some careless play in the Harold Hsdf defense, Sly Ainsworth kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julian Currie. The Harold Hsdf fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julian Currie should have stopped the shot. In the 62nd minute, Garry Cheesman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julian Currie was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. Harold Hsdf's Julian Currie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Garry Cheesman in the 65th minute of play. After 66 minutes, Garry Cheesman made it 8-0 with a short kick to the right side. Harold Hsdf's Julian Currie tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Franz Gulliver got free with Albert Ford in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 72 minutes into the match, Liverpool1978's goalkeeper Albert Ford had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Franz Gulliver. 73 minutes into the match, Harold Hsdf's goal looked a bit too open when Garry Cheesman came free, but Julian Currie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julian Currie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rob Norman in the 76th minute of the match. A collision led to Harold Hsdf getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Sid Walsh hit a great ball. Sid Walsh kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sly Ainsworth in the 84th minute of play forced Harold Hsdf's goalkeeper Julian Currie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 86th minute, Sid Walsh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Denzil Theobald hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. In the 88th minute of the match Rufus Hibbert sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julian Currie skillfully saved the ball. In the 91st minute Camron Fitzsymon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albert Ford saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rob Norman hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. When the referee ended the match the Liverpool1978 players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
