Ashley Robins took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Steven Carey-Bertram. Steven Carey-Bertram dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After some careless play in the Timperley United defense, Steven Tisdale kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Steven Carey-Bertram. The Timperley United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Steven Carey-Bertram should have stopped the shot. If Alan Longstaff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Timperley United's Leon Cross got a free kick in the 37th minute. Steven Carey-Bertram took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Johnny Mudd, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Andrew Westerby charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andrew Westerby the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 39 played minutes Timperley United got a freekick which was hit by Andrew Westerby. 40 minutes into the match, Timperley United's goal looked a bit too open when Thomas Barfield came free, but Steven Carey-Bertram reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alan Longstaff struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Tyrone May didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Timperley United. Aldeburgh's Tyrone May played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alan Longstaff in the 47th minute of play. The Timperley United players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Aldeburgh were winning 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Steven Tisdale was the one to do the kick off. Alan Longstaff sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute, Leon Cross hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leon Cross charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The supporters of Timperley United booed when Aldeburgh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ashley Robins didn't get a good kick on the ball.
