La Cicloneta's Pat Lindley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Quentin Byrne in the 15th minute of play. After some careless play in the FC Green Forest defense, Kris Prior kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Charlie Blythe. The FC Green Forest fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Charlie Blythe should have stopped the shot. Pat Lindley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stuart Mortimer in the 19th minute of play. In the 21st minute, La Cicloneta's Daryl Bullard ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Charlie Blythe. Charlie Blythe yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. In the 25th minute, Zack Bannatyne got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in FC Green Forest's zone, Tom Kemp stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Charlie Blythe came out of the goal and Tom Kemp tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wes Renwick in the 32nd minute of play forced La Cicloneta's goalkeeper Pat Lindley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wes Renwick received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Pat Lindley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pat Lindley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stuart Mortimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. La Cicloneta's Pat Lindley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wes Renwick in the 39th minute of play. Charlie Blythe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tom Kemp in the 40th minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, La Cicloneta's goal looked a bit too open when Stuart Mortimer came free, but Pat Lindley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When FC Green Forest's Stuart Mortimer in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye La Cicloneta's goalie prevented a goal. 46 minutes into the game, Ralph Bagshaw threw the ball into play from the sideline. La Cicloneta's Jake Dennison quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Stuart Mortimer made a kick off. La Cicloneta's Pat Lindley proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save La Cicloneta from getting a goal against them. In the 53rd minute FC Green Forest were awarded a corner. Ivan Longden went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led FC Green Forest's Ivan Longden to fire away a dangerous shot which Pat Lindley despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Kris Prior sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ollie Ronson in the 58th minute of play forced La Cicloneta's goalkeeper Pat Lindley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 61 minutes into the match, La Cicloneta's goalkeeper Pat Lindley had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stuart Mortimer. Tom Kemp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charlie Blythe having to interfere. In the 72nd match minute, FC Green Forest was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ollie Ronson to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rd minute, Daryl Bullard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Stuart Mortimer who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 75thth minute tested the skills of Pat Lindley when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, La Cicloneta's Jake Dennison got a free kick in the 76th minute. Pat Lindley was a little too slow when Stuart Mortimer got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 77th minute. The score was now 3-1. The throw-in from Ollie Ronson in the 81st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by La Cicloneta's Sean Boston. Tom Kemp's late challenge caught a FC Green Forest's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tom Kemp helped the player get up and apologised. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Stuart Mortimer during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Stuart Mortimer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pat Lindley having to interfere. Pat Lindley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stuart Mortimer in the 88th minute of the match. Stuart Mortimer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Pat Lindley made a huge save. When Jake Dennison came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the La Cicloneta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jake Dennison couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in FC Green Forest's zone, Kris Prior stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Charlie Blythe came out of the goal and Kris Prior tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. La Cicloneta had won after a very even match.
