Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Rod Flemming took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 3rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Luke Goodwick. Dunton Green United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Liam Elwick in the 6th minute of play forced Dunton Green United's goalkeeper Luke Goodwick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 6th minute, Liam Elwick ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luke Goodwick was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After 8 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Dunton Green United! Simon Kempson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 19 played minutes The Rifles got a freekick which was hit by Rod Flemming. Dunton Green United's Casey Lowndes couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 20th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for The Rifles. 26 minutes into the match, Dunton Green United's goal looked a bit too open when Simon Kempson came free, but Luke Goodwick reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Simon Kempson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luke Goodwick showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Liam Elwick in the 33rd minute of the match. If Liam Elwick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Harry Rowe made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Edward Silvester sent off a good shot on target. Dunton Green United were awarded a corner in the 45th minute after The Rifles's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Casey Lowndes took the corner. In the 46th match minute Casey Lowndes ran free in the middle of the field and shot a long shot which scored behind a totally surprised Harry Rowe. 1-2. The Dunton Green United players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. The Rifles were winning 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Liam Elwick made a kick off. If Liam Elwick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luke Goodwick showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Liam Elwick in the 63rd minute of the match. A collision led to The Rifles getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Rod Flemming hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Liam Elwick in the 67th minute of play forced Dunton Green United's goalkeeper Luke Goodwick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 72 minutes into the match, The Rifles's Simon Kempson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luke Goodwick narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 79 minutes, Steve Shephard mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dunton Green United and the The Rifles players grew even worse after the yellow card. Caleb Wadham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harry Rowe having to interfere. In the 89th minute, Connor Ronson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dunton Green United's Edward Silvester got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Steve Shephard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 95th minute of the match Casey Lowndes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Harry Rowe showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched The Rifles eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
