Blyth AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jânio Guedes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Virgilio Valery sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Blyth AFC booed when Barca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aquiles Luar didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Aquiles Luar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Barca players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Blyth AFC were winning 0-3.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerry Buckler in the 56th minute of play forced Barca's goalkeeper Pali Zapala to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Barca's Pali Zapala got control of the ball when Gerry Buckler tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gerry Buckler kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 57thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Barca's keeper Pali Zapala was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Greg Oldham kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. In the 66th minute, Rasmus Raja hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 67 minutes into the match, Blyth AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Mallon came free, but Jack Nicholson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th minute, Blyth AFC's Virgilio Valery ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Pali Zapala. Pali Zapala yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. Denny Blunt charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 79th minute Frank Osbourne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jack Nicholson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frank Osbourne's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jack Nicholson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. Virgilio Valery was extremely unlucky when he, in the 83rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After 86 played minutes Blyth AFC got a freekick which was hit by Gerry Buckler. Gerry Buckler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pali Zapala having to interfere.
