Spectators: 8406 (Terracing: 6305, Seating: 1933, VIP seats: 168) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Brynn Frost kicked off to start the match. After a defensive mix-up in Nottingham Forest's zone, Thomas Woodyat stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Warren Bolton came out of the goal and Thomas Woodyat tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Birstall Bombers booed when Nottingham Forest was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gavin Nelson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 5th minute of the match Kasey Huxtable shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Warren Bolton showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Alf Broadhurst could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Dom Maxwell made a huge save. In the 11th match minute, Birstall Bombers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damian Stride to maneuver through the defense. Dom Maxwell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Cummings in the 12th minute of the match. Warren Bolton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thomas Woodyat, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After 15 played minutes Birstall Bombers got a freekick which was hit by Pete Meadowcroft. Dom Maxwell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rhys Rain in the 18th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, Thomas Woodyat notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Nottingham Forest's Warren Bolton. Warren Bolton was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dom Maxwell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rhys Rain in the 22nd minute of the match. Warren Bolton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brynn Frost, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brynn Frost's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Warren Bolton read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Brynn Frost recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 45 minutes into the match, Nottingham Forest's goal looked a bit too open when Thomas Woodyat came free, but Warren Bolton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Nottingham Forest players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Birstall Bombers were winning 0-2.

Thomas Woodyat was extremely unlucky when he, in the 52nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rhys Rain in the 54th minute of play forced Birstall Bombers's goalkeeper Dom Maxwell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nottingham Forest's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Brynn Frost 56 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-3. The crowd rose to their feet as Thomas Woodyat kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Warren Bolton. That made the score 0-4 in the 59 minute of play. Dom Maxwell didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sebastian Cummings went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. 70 minutes into the match, Nottingham Forest's goalkeeper Warren Bolton had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Brynn Frost. In the 76th minute, Thomas Woodyat fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Warren Bolton didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 77th minute, which inside left pole to 1-5. In the 81st minute, Damian Stride made a precise shot to the right of Warren Bolton. Nottingham Forest's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-6. The audience thought a goal was coming when Brynn Frost got free with Warren Bolton in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Brynn Frost in the 94thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Warren Bolton, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sebastian Cummings during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Birstall Bombers booed when Nottingham Forest was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Cummings didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Birstall Bombers eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
